He played college football at the University of Southern California and was drafted in the fourth round of the 1968 NFL Draft. After his NFL career Dennis Crane taught and Coached at Arkansasa Tech University as an assistant coach and later taught and coached High School Football in Paris Arkansas. His son D.J. also coaches high school football in Arkansas.
