Kentucky Route 70 is a long east-east state highway that originates at a junction with US 60 in Smithland in Livingston County, just east of the Ohio River. The route continues through the counties of Crittenden, Caldwell, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Butler, Edmonson, Barren, Barren, Metcalfe, Green, Taylor, Casey, Pulaski, Lincoln and back into Pulaski again to terminate at a junction with U.S. 150 near Maretburg in Rockcastle.

There is a low clearence on KY 70. It is in the town of Eubank and is 1.2 miles West of US 27.

Route description

KY 70 includes concurrent designations with these routes:
*U.S. 641 and KY 91 from Fredonia to a point about two miles north
*KY 293 for about one mile near Fryer in Caldwell County
*KY 85 from Madisonville to a point about three miles east
*Alt U.S. 41 through downtown Madisonville
*U.S. 431 from Central City to a point about two miles south of Drakesboro
*U.S. 231 and KY 79 from Morgantown to a point about three miles north
*U.S. 68 from Sulphur Well (Metcalfe County), through Green County onward to Campbellsville

KY 70 is the main route through Mammoth Cave National Park in Barren and Edmonson counties.
