The route continues through the counties of Crittenden, Caldwell, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Butler, Edmonson, Barren, Barren, Metcalfe, Green, Taylor, Casey, Pulaski, Lincoln and back into Pulaski again to terminate at a junction with U.S. 150 near Maretburg in Rockcastle.There is a low clearence on KY 70. It is in the town of Eubank and is 1.2 miles West of US 27.

KY 70 includes concurrent designations with these routes:
*U.S. 641 and KY 91 from Fredonia to a point about two miles north
*KY 293 for about one mile near Fryer in Caldwell County
*KY 85 from Madisonville to a point about three miles east
*Alt U.S. 41 through downtown Madisonville
*U.S. 431 from Central City to a point about two miles south of Drakesboro
*U.S. 231 and KY 79 from Morgantown to a point about three miles north
