On April 1st, 2008 Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School was found guilty in a case awarding $56 million to the family of a teenager left brain-damaged and disabled in a fatal drunken-driving crash that split a car in two.
Michael Sanchez-Agramonte, 17, was killed and Maynoldi was injured when the car crashed into a tree at about 100 mph. Halves of the car came to rest on either side of a landscaped median. The wreck was so bad that the medical examiner never determined who was driving.
