Sognefjord Span

Sognefjord Span

The Sognefjord Span is World's second longest span of a powerline with a width of 4597 metres. It is located at "Sognefjorden" in Norway. The pylons at the end of the Sognefjord are not higher than normal, because the "Sognefjorden" is a deep valley. In order to avoid any approaches or contacts between the lines each conductor is hung up on a separate pylon, which is built as a steel framework tower.
