Babylon Branch of theLong Island Rail Road . It is officially located on the north side ofSunrise Highway and Bedford Avenue inBellmore, New York , however the actual land held by the station spans west of Center Avenue and east of Bellmore Avenue.Bellmore Station was originally built by the
South Side Railroad of Long Island in October 1869. Another station was built some time in the early-20th Century. Like so many stations along the Babylon-Montauk Branch, it was one of many that were elevated throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk Counties during the 1950s and 1960s, in this case between 1968 and 1969. The sheltered shed that once served as an earlier station is preserved and located in the parking lot.MTA Long Island Bus Connections*N45: Bellmore-Roosevelt Field
