Fusionopolis (Chinese: 启汇城) is a
research and development complex located at theOne-North business park inSingapore . It houses various research organizations, high-tech companies, government agencies, retail outlets, and serviced apartments in one location.Situated in
Buona Vista , it is close to theNational University of Singapore , theSingapore Polytechnic , theInstitute of Technical Education , theNational University Hospital , theSingapore Science Park , theBiopolis , and the Ministry of Education. It will be served by theOne-north MRT Station that is due to be completed in 2009.Development
Phase I

Phase II
Similar to Fusionopolis Phase I, Phase II involves a multi-tenanted concept of labs and clean rooms complete with offices, specialized laboratories and a centralized clean room with plans for approximately gross floor area of 100,000 m².
Accident during construction
At about 1.40 pm on
29 April 2004, the steel chairs supporting the top layer steel bars had apparently given way and the top layer of the steel bars for the reinforcement cage of the foundation fell onto the workers below, killing 2 people and injuring 29 others. The accident happened just nine days after theNicoll Highway Collapse .The first deceased is a 31-year-old Bangladeshi construction worker Abdul Baten Abdul Jalil. He has been holding a work permit pass since March 2004.
The second deceased is a 51 year-old Singaporean Chinese Mr Lee Chee Yong, who was a foreman working at the site when the accident occurred. [ cite news | title = Industrial Accident at Fusionpolis Construction Site
