Palestinian village located 19km northeast of the city ofTel Aviv-Yafo . In 1945 the village had a population of 300 and a total land area of 5,492 dunums. It was captured by the Lehi, an offshoot ofIsrael 's forces, theHaganah onApril 12 ,1948 . Today according toWalid Khalidi , the site of the village is filled with cacti, fig orchards and palm trees cultivated byJewish residents of nearby towns.See also
