Andrew Birkin (b.
9 December 1945 London) is an EnglishBAFTA Award -winningscreenwriter ,actor and director. He was born the only son of Lieutenant-Commander David Birkin by his wife the actressJudy Campbell nee Judy Gamble. One of his sisters is the actressJane Birkin and his niece is actressCharlotte Gainsbourg , whom he directed in "The Cement Garden ". His eldest son is actorDavid Tristan Birkin (born 1977). His sonAnno Birkin (1980-2001), a poet and musician, was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 20. Birkin also directed his youngest son Ned (born 1985) in "The Cement Garden "Filmography
