Duncan Riley (born 4 September 1975 in Sydney, Australia) is a blogger and a co-founder of b5media. He lives in Melbourne, Australia.^[1]

Biography

Riley began his internet career in Australia in 1995 writing for a branch of a political party and later for the now defunct Australian Conservative Politics portal. In 1999, he authored the website Young Australians Against this Republic, in conjunction with a number of political and social groups within Australia.^{[citation needed]}

In 2002, he launched The Blog Herald, which was sold in 2006 to BlogMedia, Inc.^[2] and later acquired by Splashpress Media.

In 2005, he launched Weblog Empire, which became part of the b5media company Riley founded with fellow bloggers Darren Rowse and Jeremy Wright. In November 2006, Riley left b5media,^[3] and in 2007, joined TechCrunch. In May 2008, Riley announced his resignation from TechCrunch^[4] to pursue a start-up website called The Inquisitr.

As of 2011, Riley became a resident "tech expert" on Today Tonight filing several stories for the Seven Network.
