United Campaign Against Plastic Bullets

United Campaign Against Plastic Bullets

United Campaign Against Plastic Bullets is an organization based in Belfast, Northern Ireland that opposes the use of plastic bullets by the British army and police.

Following the killing of John Downes in August 1984, the campaign was founded by Emma Groves (1920 - 2007), a mother of 11 children who was struck by a rubber bullet in the face in 1971 and blinded by it, and Clara Reilly.
