History
Established in 2002 by President & CEO, G. David Cartwright, and COO, Steve Goodman, both longtime industry executives.
Operating under the tag line of “Bring it On,” Mobile Edge has become a well known name within the laptop computer carrying case industry, based on annuals sales growth year over year.
Products
Mobile Edge produces laptop bags which include messenger bags with stabilizing straps, Netbook computer cases and sleeves, backpacks, briefcases, portfolios, totes, handbags, vertical load briefcases and Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bags[1] that are Transportation Security Administration (TSA) compliant. Several laptop bags accommodate laptops with large wide screens up to 17", and most other popular laptop screen sizes.
The company also produces several laptop accessories including Bluetooth headsets, USB hubs and card readers, laptop computer locks, and multimedia remote controls. Mobile Edge sells women's stylish laptop bags, and offers the only TSA compliant laptop bags designed specifically for women. Recently, Mobile Edge introduced Netbook ScanFast Cases unique to the retail market.
Affiliations
Mobile Edge has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Breast Cancer Foundation), donating 10 percent of all sales of their “Caring Case Collection” Komen line to the respected Foundation.
Additionally, Mobile Edge has partnered with the Boomer Esiason Foundation to help raise funds for research and awareness to fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
Product features
Mobile Edge introduced the Wireless Security Shield accessories pocket, which is a Zinc-lined pocket that insulates Bluetooth enabled cell phones and PDAs from wireless hackers trying to access personal data and spread viruses that can propagate without the user’s knowledge.
