Dirk Verbeuren (born 1975, Wilrijk, Antwerp, Belgium) is a heavy metal drummer for Swedish melodic death metal band Soilwork, French melodic death metal band, Scarve^[1] (of which he was a founding member) and Belgian death metal band Aborted. He has played as a session drummer for Sybreed, Lyzanxia, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Yyrkoon, Manu Livertout, Infinited Hate, 7th Circle, Headline and Taliandorogd.^{[citation needed]} He's also the session drummer of Devin Townsend's last release, Deconstruction. He uses Tama drums and sticks and Meinl Percussion cymbals. He resides in Cleveland, Ohio and in Vernouillet, France.^{[citation needed]}

Other credits

He recorded the drum tracks on Warrel Dane's solo album Praises to the War Machine, which was produced by fellow Soilwork guitarist Peter Wichers.^{[citation needed]} He also recorded several tracks on the Nuclear Blast All Stars CD Out of the Dark with several current and former Soilwork members Henry Ranta and Peter Wichers. He acted as session drummer on Sybreed's 2007 album Antares, as well as Yyrkoon's Occult Medicine. Dirk is sharing drum duty with Ryan Van Poederooyen on Deconstruction, the third album of the Devin Townsend Project.
