"The Chainheart Machine" is the second full-length studio album released by the Swedish melodic death metal band Soilwork. "The Chainheart Machine" remains a favorite of many long-time fans and is frequently featured in the band's live set. The album is a concept album, relating to the "Chainheart Machine". There is also a hidden track on the album after "Room No. 99" that is 39 seconds long. On the Japanese release there is a bonus track, "Shadowchild".
