Iowa Highway 127 was originally designated on November 3, 1924. It originally went between
U.S. Highway 75 west of Magnolia and U.S. Highway 30 in Logan. This intersection is now where it meets Harrison County Road L20. In 1968, upon completion of Interstate 29 west of Mondamin, the highway was extended to the interstate.Major intersections
