Graham Gund is the president of Gund Partnership, a leading American "situationist" architecture firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and founded by Mr. Gund in
1971 .A native of
Cleveland, Ohio , Gund was educated atKenyon College , theRhode Island School of Design , and theHarvard University Graduate School of Design (located in George Gund Hall). Notable buildings designed by the firm include the headquarters for theNational Association of Realtors in Washington, D.C., the conservatory for theCleveland Botanical Garden , theLansburg Theater for theFolger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC, The Fannie Cox Math and Science Center forFriends' Central School in Wynnewood, PA, the synagogue building forYoung Israel of Brookline , Massachusetts, and buildings on many American college campuses, including those of Harvard University and Kenyon College. Gund also designed the Boston Ballet Headquarters on Clarendon Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The firm is also known for historic redevelopment projects including Bulfinch Square inCambridge, Massachusetts , and theInstitute of Contemporary Art inBoston, Massachusetts .
