• Case Western Reserve University School of Law

  • George Gund Hall

    The home of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. The George Gund Foundation was the lead donor to the effort to build the law school building, which was designed by the firm of Skidmore Owings & Merrill and opened in 1971. Mr. Gund’s son Graham Gund was the architect for the expansion of the building, completed in 1994.     In 1991, Case Western Reserve University School of Law established the Gund International Law Center through a special endowment from the George Gund Foundation. • George Gund Dining Hall

  This building was completed in 1967 along with Beaumont Pool, Cargin Valley Cabin and tent units. The summer of 1967 was the first full season of resident camping at Camp Hilaka. • Harvard Graduate School of Design

  • George Gund Hall

    Designed by Australian architect and GSD graduate John Andrews, Gund Hall opened in 1972. Gund Hall offers students a stimulating environment in which to work, including studio and office areas for approximately 500 students and more than 100 faculty and staff; lecture and seminar rooms; workshops and darkrooms; an audiovisual center; computer facilities; a cafeteria; a project room; Piper Auditorium; and the Frances Loeb Library. Kenyon College

• Gund Commons

  Gund Commons, found on the North end of campus, houses Gund Dining Hall, Gund Game Room, Gund Ballroom, and the Gund Computer Lab. Jessica Roesler Gund Commons was named after the wife of George Gund, former president of the Cleveland Trust Company and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Construction began in 1968 and the Commons was dedicated on May 30, 1970. Gund Commons was to serve the needs of the new Coordinate College for Women, which anticipated the enrollment of 650 women in the 1972-1973 school year. The building was designed by The Perkins & Will Partnership of Chicago and served as an integral part of the Women's College. It served as the entrance to the Coordinate College and was designed to permit Kenyon's sister college to create an identity of its own. The building was designed to be both informal and feminine in nature. It was to provide a place for dining, study, and recreation. The total cost of construction was $1.5 million. • Gund Concert Series

  The Gund series was established in 1959 with an endowment gift from George Gund, longtime Kenyon trustee; former chair of the Cleveland Trust Company; and father of Graham Gund, Class of 1963. The fund is used to bring the best of different events, speakers, musical artists, or other educational projects to the College for the enjoyment of the community. • Gund Hall

  George Gund Hall is located on the West side of the Freshmen Quad in between Lewis Hall and Norton Hall. Although it is considered the ugliest dorm on campus by many students, it is well loved by its alumni, many of whom refer to themselves as "Gund Survivors."
