Maple Avenue Middle School is a public middle school in Saratoga Springs, New York for children in grades six through eight. It consists of four sections of the building to divide students up for their 3 years at the school. They are called "Springs" because Saratoga is known for its springs. They are called Hathorn, Columbian, Excelsior and Red Springs. Maple Avenue Middle School is sometimes also known as Maple Ave. The Maple Avenue campus houses a large two-story building, which is over a quarter mile from the front to the back, as well as a football field, tennis courts, three multi-use fields used primarily for lacrosse and soccer, and two softball and baseball diamonds. It is also home to the Trombley Auditorium, noted for its great acoustics, which is why it is rented out for many non-school related concerts and recitals.
