Omneon (originally called Omneon Video Networks^[1]) develops and markets video server and computer storage products for companies that produce and distribute audio and video content for television and the Internet. Founded in 1998, the company is reported to have a wide range of clients in the television broadcast sector from around the world .^[2]

Co-founder Donald M. Craig designed products that won Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards in 1988 and 1996.^[3] On December 29, 2006 Omneon filed for an Initial Public Offering,^[3][4] but remained private.^[5] On May 6, 2010 Omneon announced it agreed to be acquired by Harmonic Inc.^[6]
