Salt Fork State Park is a state park located north of Lore City in Guernsey County, Ohio, United States. [DeLorme. "Ohio Atlas & Gazetteer". 7th ed. Yarmouth: DeLorme, 2004, pp. 61, 71. ISBN 0-89933-281-1.] It contains convert|17229|acre|km2|0 of land and convert|2952|acre|km2|0 of water. It is the largest state park in Ohio.

History

In 1956 planning for a water supply for the area started, but the potential for a recreational area led to land be acquired for a state park starting in 1960. In 1967 the earthen dam was completed, and in 1968 recreational facilities began construction.
