Norton Lindsey

Norton Lindsey

Norton Lindsey is a village and civil parish in Warwickshire, UK. It is located 3.5 miles south-east of the tourist and county town of Warwick and a mile south-east of the M40 motorway. According to the 2001 UK Census the village had between 300 and 350 people living in it. The uncertainty arises because part of the village is in a separate parish. Indeed whilst most of the village is in the Warwick District, some of it is in the Stratford District.

The village takes its name from the Lindsey family who were lords of the manor in the 12th century. The parish church of the Holy Trinity dates from the following century. The village has a windmill which is currently being restored. Three of the village's other prominent features are the community centre, the primary school and the cricket club, which is shared with nearby Wolverton. The village also has its own Boy Scout, Girl Guide, Brownie and Beaver Scout packs.
