Australia n publichigh school located inGrovedale , Victoria, a suburb in the city ofGeelong . It was established in 1979 and as Grovedale Technical High School. Under the guidance of the founding principal Mr R "Roly" Arnup the new school prospered and developed a unique status at the time as a model of progressive education. The realisation of the "new" school was confirmed by the establishment of permanent facilities alongside the progression of the original students climbing the rung to year 12. In the early 1990's the name was changed to Grovedale Secondary College which it was known as until 2003 when new principal Jeffrey Cooper dropped the word "secondary" from its name and became simply Grovedale College. Grovedale College offers a range of activities, two of these are Laptop Class and Sports Academy.Houses
There are four houses at Grovedale College. Other than sporting events, they are not used much. The four houses in no particular order are:

Grovedale College is fairly advanced in terms of I.T. It is the only school in Victoria to use
virtualisation software and the only public school [in Victoria] to offer a notebook computer program (though this will change soon with the Rudd Government's proposed education plan). It also uses a number ofthin clients around the school.External links
