Sawsa

SAWSA is the South Australian Women's Soccer Association and has been established since 1978.

In Season 2007, there was sweeping changes to the leagues, which are listed below.

"Open Age Divisions"Premier Division

1. A ten team league 2. All Premier Division Teams in 2006 will continue to field a team in this Division in 2007.3. Elizabeth Vale will be promoted into the Premier Division in 20074. All clubs in the Premier Division must field a minimum of two other teams, one being a junior team.Reserve Division Any Premier Division Team that fielded a team in 2006 in Division 1 will now field this team into the Reserve Division.

Division 1

1. A ten team league2. All teams that were previously in State League will now field a team in Division 1. 3. The top teams from Division 2 will go into Division 1. 4. A Premier Division Club can not field a team in Division 1.5. All teams in Division 1 are strongly encouraged to field a minimum of at least one junior team.Division 2 A ten team leagueDivision 3 A ten team league if numbers permitDivision 4 This league will be conducted if numbers permit

Junior Age Divisions

Under 17 If there are more than 12 teams nominated, two leagues will be conducted based on grading, A and BUnder 15 If there are more than 12 teams nominated, two leagues will be conducted based on grading, A and BUnder 13 If there are more than 12 teams nominated, two leagues will be conducted based on grading, A and BUnder 11 7-a-sideUnder 9 7-a-side. This league will only be conducted if numbers permit

All clubs may nominate teams for the relevant leagues except for the Premier Division. This must be indicated on the Affiliation Form
