SGEduLab BETA Phase I was officially launched on
April 1 ,2006 . SGEduLab's mission is to provide free study notes to all Singaporean students, as well as connecting students with teachers through SGEduLab's forum. The resources in SGEduLab are mainly contributed by contributors. The website was still in the developmental stage, and did not have sufficient study notes to provide to students. Some study notes are contributed by administrators.Tomorrow-ed

April 2 ,2006 , a post on the founder's blog was submitted toTomorrow.sg , a metablog forSingapore bloggers. The post generated some comments in which the readers questioned the credibility of the notes. The founder was later contacted by a reporter fromThe Straits Times to do an interview.The Straits Times article

The Straits Times newspaper onApril 18 ,2006 . On the same day, thousands of people signed up for a free account on SGEduLab. There were also many contributions of notes to SGEduLab. The record logs reached 11,287 activities, thus making it the highest number of activities in SGEduLab's history.BETA Phase II
The main objective of SGEduLab BETA Phase II is to make the website more user-friendly by changing the layout of the website (users complained that SGEduLab's
Course Management System ,Moodle is not user-friendly). It was originally scheduled to be released on December 2006, but due to certain factors, it was re-scheduled to 2007. BETA Phase II will also see the introduction of a new system that requires users to use Labby Points, SGEduLab'scurrency , to download study notes. Labby Points can be obtained through the following methods:* Contributing own study notes in soft or hard copy;
* Rectification of existing study notes in SGEduLab's database;
* Posting in SGEduLab's forum;
* Awarding Labby Points weekly (users must however sign in to collect their Labby Points).EduTimes
SGEduLab officially launched EduTimes on
15 July 2007 . EduTimes is an online e-magazine that features a veritable potpourri of articles, reviews, competitions, and more. EduTimes is currently on BETA Phase I.Due to study commitments and poor response, the website of EduTimes was taken down temporarily.
Current situation
SGEduLab BETA Phase II is currently on the works, scheduled for release in year 2008. SGEduLab also plans to promote the study portal by means of pamphlet distribution and encouraging
secondary schools to contribute study notes to SGEduLab.References
