GMInsideNews

GM Inside News is a Internet Forum that specializes in information on General Motors cars and brands.

The web site was established in 2001 with an aim to be the web's leader in all news related to General Motors. A new, enhanced forum section came online in December, 2001. The website had a major overhaul again in January 2003.

While truly "inside" news is a rarity on this site, when GMI does get a "scoop" bigger and more established publications have been known to use the popular site as a source.

The New York Times listed it as one of the best automotive websites in 2006. [ [http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/25/automobiles/autospecial/25web.html?ex=1173589200&en=132457240899862f&ei=5070 NY Times] ]

In March 2008, GMI was transferred to the ownership of Autoforums and given another major redesign.
