College Savings Plans Network

College Savings Plans Network

In 1991, the College Savings Plans Network[1] was formed as an affiliate to the National Association of State Treasurers to make higher education more attainable, the Network serves as a clearinghouse for information among state-administered college savings programs. Additionally, CSPN monitors federal activities and promotes legislation that will positively affect Section 529 plans.[2]

CSPN provides a valuable networking opportunity for all state officials to gather and share their unique innovations and experiences in an effort to improve Section 529 plans and in turn, help the youth of this nation attain the educational goals.

The Network hosts a web site that provides interested parents and families with comprehensive information about 529 college savings plans in an effort to help families save in order to pay for the increasing cost of higher education.

Diana F. Cantor (Mrs. Eric Cantor) was chairman of the organization's board.[2]
