In 2006 the bleach-haired diminutive corner forward was top scorer in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship[2] (1-32) as Mayo took the Connacht title, came from behind to beat Dublin in semi-final but ultimately were beaten by Kerry in the All-Ireland SFC final. Rewarding his great year, he was selected into the Vodafone GAA Football All Stars and in the GPA Gaelic football Team of the Year for 2006. Conor's brother Kenneth is a dual GAA All-Stars Awards winner. Another brother, Trevor, is a current member of the Mayo panel.
