Following the Path
The path starts in the north, at the corner of the Greensborough Hwy and Lower Plenty Rd. It crosses Banyule Rd and then heads downhill past a stand of
river red gum s, crosses Buckingham St and continues past Banyule Theatre (Viewbank College ). Further along it passes Warringal Park on its west side and then intersects theYarra River Trail .The southerly section of the River Gum Walk Trail can easily be mistaken for the continuation of the
Yarra River Trail . People coming from the south along theYarra River Trail should turn right (east) 130m after crossing the canal at the end of Plymouth St, near the Banyule Tennis centre.Connections
Dead end in the north.
