List of Canada Games

The Canada Games are a strictly amateur multi-sport event held in Canada biannually. There are Winter and Summer editions, alternating every two years, so that every four years there is a winter games, and every four years there is a summer games. Athletes form teams based on their province or territory. As of 2007, there are 13 teams. The first games were held in Canada's Centennial Year, 1967.

The 1969 Canada Summer Games were held in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

1975 Canada Winter Games

The 1975 Canada Winter Games were held in Lethbridge, Alberta

1993 Canada Summer Games

The 1993 Canada Summer Games were held in Kamloops, British Columbia

1999 Canada Winter Games

The 1999 Canada Winter Games were held in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador

2007 Canada Winter Games

The 2007 Canada Winter Games were held in Whitehorse, Yukon.These were the first Canada Games held "North of 60" (in the polar regions). The games were held concurrent with the Inuit Games and Dene Games.
