state highway inWashington ,United States . It extends almost 60 miles from Shelton in the southwest to the east end of theHood Canal Floating Bridge in the northeast.Route description
SR 3 originates at the junction of U.S. Route 101 in Shelton on the
Olympic Peninsula , and from there heads northeast to Allyn, after which theKitsap Peninsula begins. SR 3 then runs through Belfair, Gorst, and Bremerton. Just south of Bremerton, the highway becomes afreeway and stays that way for about 15 miles, through Chico and Silverdale, before becoming a two-lane road again just northwest of Poulsbo. SR 3 ends at State Route 104 at the eastern end of the Hood Canal Floating Bridge.Major intersections
