Yadegar Mokhammad (Tatar: Yädegär Möxämmäd, Yädkär, Yädegär, IPA2|jædeˈgær mœxæmˈmæt) (? – 1565) was the last khan of
Kazan Khanate (1552). Yadegar Moxammad the son of Astrakhan khan Qasim. In 1542-50 he was in the service ofTsardom of Russia , participated in the attack onKazan in 1550. In 1552 he was invited byQol Sharif (Qol Şärif, IPA2|qɔl ʃæ.ˈɾif/) and Chapqin bek Otich uli (Çapqın bäk Otıç ulı, IPA2|ɕʌpˈqɯn bæk ɔˈtɯɕuˈlɯ) to the throne of Kazan Khanate. Subsequently, he led the war againstRussia n invasion. He was captured in August 1552 when Russian troops took Kazan. In 1553 he converted toChristianity , assumed the name of "Simeon Kasayevich" and lived inMoscow as a Russian nobleman.ee also
