Vasse is a town in the South West region of Western Australia, convert|10|km|mi|0 west of the town of Busselton and convert|240|km|mi|0 southwest of Perth. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Busselton.

The town is named after the Vasse River and Vasse Estuary, both of which in turn are named after French seaman, Thomas Vasse, that disappeared in the area in June 1801 during Nicolas Baudin's expedition. The population of Vasse is around 75 (2001 estimate) but is expected to increase to around 5,000 on the completion of the Vasse Newtown Development by around 2012. [http://www.vassenewtown.com.au]
