Jessore Sadar has 18 Unions/Wards, 326 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 250 villages. It has class one Pouroshave (Municipality).Jessore is in the bank of Bhairab River. It has one of the famous College of Bangladesh- that is MM College.The Brothel of Jessore is also famous of the Country. After broken the Tanbazar of Naryangonj- the Marua Mandir of Jessore is the top class brothel. Including this one there is total three brothels are in Jessore. Now a days different hotels are doing the sex business. The biggest Sex businessman of the Jessore district is Nayan Chowdhury. He have the Liquor shop and two residencial hotels in the town. In his hotel any time any type of sex worker can be found. He is the Prisident of Jessore Zilla BNP. (How leader he is !!!!!!!!!)
