Country News Club, Inc., Portland News Club, Inc., and Lakes Region News Club, Inc., are private companies that publish community newspapers in northern New Hampshire and Greater Portland, Maine and western Maine, USA.
Country News Club was founded in 1989 by Mark Guerringue and Adam Hirshan, the original (and still current) publisher and editor of The Conway Daily Sun. The company later expanded by starting The Berlin Daily Sun, also a free tabloid daily newspaper in northern New Hampshire, and The Northern Light, a weekly newspaper covering western Maine.
Lakes Region News Club is a partnership between Guerringue, Hirsan and Edward J. Engler, who serves as editor and publisher of The Laconia Daily Sun.
Portland News Club is a partnership between Guerringe, Hirsan, and Curtis Robinson (originally of Colorado), who serves as editor and publisher of The Portland Daily Sun. It was launched in February 2009.
Although each of the titles has its own news office, all five News Club publications are printed at Country News Club's North Conway printing plant.
