In addition to his active role in managing C2, he serves on the board of the Washington Youth Foundation and also served as a commissioner on the Montgomery County Commission on Children and Youth from 2003-2005. Considered one of the top young rising entrepreneurs in the United States; C2 has been honored as a Forbes Enterprise Finalist, an Ernst and Young Young Entrepreneur Finalist, an Entrepreneur Magazine Young Millionaire, and one of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in the US by Inc Magazine. In January 2009, on Korean American Day, David Kim was honored by the Korean Economic Institute as one of the top young rising Korean Americans.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
As of 2009, he resides in Duluth, Georgia.[citation needed]
Personal life
David Kim was born and raised in Lutherville, Maryland. He was a 12 year man at the Gilman School and graduated as its valedictorian. His father is Tae Kwon Do Master Jae Kim, who along with Master Jhoon Rhee helped popularize Tae Kwon Do in the United States in the 70s and 80s.
