132nd Engineer Battalion (United States)

The 132nd Engineer Battalion was originally constituted on 28 December, 1973 in the California Army National Guard as the 132nd Engineer Battalion and assigned to the 40th Infantry Division.

It organized on 13 January, 1974 from new and existing units with Headquarters at San Francisco. Its Headquarters relocated on 1 November 1976 to Sacramento.

The unit was ordered into active Federal service on 1 May, 1992 at home stations; released on 9 May 1992 from active Federal service and reverted to state control.

The unit was deactivated on 1 September, 2004 at Sacramento, California.
