Gerard V. Middleton

Gerard Viner "Gerry" Middleton FRSC (born 1931) is an award winning Canadian geologist.

Middleton was born in South Africa. Over his career his main fields of research were physical sedimentology and data analysis in geology.

Since 2004, he has been publishing biographies of Canadian geologists, including; Frank Dawson Adams (1859-1942), Robert Bell (1841-1917), Reginald Aldworth Daly (1871-1957), John William Dawson (1820-1899), Andrew Cowper Lawson (1861-1952), and Joseph William Winthrop Spencer (1851-1921).

He is an emeritus professor in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences at McMaster University.
