Kazimieras Garšva (born
November 11 ,1950 inLinkuva , nearPakruojis ) is aLithuania n linguist, and the leader of the controversial "Vilnija " organisation.Biography
From 1968 to 1973 Garšva studied
philology andLithuanian literature atVilnius University , and from 1973 to 1976 he was a student atMoscow State University . In 1977 he received aPh.D for his doctoral thesis "Priegaidės fonologinėje sistemoje (remiantis lietuvių kalbos medžiaga)" ("Vowels in the phonetic system (using lithuanian language material)").
