The commander of the company of the 258th battalion, who ordered 10 villagers to be killed for every Lithuanian casualty in his unit and was thus primarily responsible for murder of civilians in Glitiškės, was arrested by the Germans, since one of the victims was employed in the German administration. He would be eventually tried and executed by Germans themselves. [http://www.xxiamzius.lt/numeriai/2004/08/18/zvil_01.html lt icon Kazimieras Garšva.
