Midland Park High School at the nearby town ofMidland Park, New Jersey with students from Midland Park. But around 1995, the mayor of Ho-Ho-Kus believed that it was not a good idea for Ho-Ho-Kus students to go to high school in Midland Park because the number of students were increasing and Midland Park High School was too small for this number of students and there were very few electives in that high school, so the Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education had to seek alternatives. From then on, high school students from Ho-Ho-Kus have been attendingNorthern Highlands Regional High School .History
The original school building was constructed in 1936. [ [http://www.hohokus.org/hohokus/DISTRICT%20INFORMATION Ho-Ho-Kus School District ] ] Over the years, several additions have been made to the school. The most recent construction added 30,000 square feet of space, primarily in the middle school wing, but the addition included the new cafeteria, two science rooms, and administrative offices. There was also a renovation of the existing school building.
