Art Mahan

Art Mahan

Arthur Leo Mahan (born June 8, 1913) is a former first baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the Philadelphia Phillies during the by|1940 season. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, he batted and threw left-handed. In one-season career, Mahan posted a .244 batting average (133-for-544) with two home runs and 39 RBI in 146 games played, including 55 runs, 24 doubles and five triples.

Mahan (age|1913|6|8) is recognized as one of the oldest living MLB players.
