Mike Leeder is a film producer born and raised in the United Kingdom, but based in Hong Kong since 1990. He has built a solid networrk and reputation in the Film and TV industry throughout Hong Kong, China, and the rest of Asia.
Leeder's Film production credits include such projects as Jet Li's Fearless directed by Ronny Yu, Jackie Chan's Rush Hour 3, Baz Luhrman's Australia, the BBC's Phoo Action, Blood: The Last Vampire, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Nightlife Hero, Underground, Displaced, The Silencer, 10 Dead Men, The Bodyguard: A New Beginning and Yuen Woo-ping's return to directing, True Legend.
Leeder's TV credits include the acclaimed Sony documentary The Art of Action: Martial Arts in the Movies, hosted by Samuel L Jackson, David Carradine: A Martial Arts Journey, The Alternative Rock N'Roll Years, 100 Biggest Film Stars, Jackie Chan: Dragon Power, Shock Movie Massacre,and many others, including several 'reality' shows, including numerous incarnations of The Amazing Race. In addition, Leeder's production credits include numerous music video and commercial projects.
Leeder serves as the Far Eastern Editor for Impact: The Global Action Entertainment magazine (www.impactmoviemagazine.co.uk), and is a regular contributor to Inside Kung Fu & Black Belt magazine. Leeder's work has also appeared in Femme Fatales, Oriental Cinema, Eastern Heroes, Screen Power, Jade Screen, Combat, Blitz and many more magazines focusing on martial arts or action movies. Leeder was co-author for the book '100% Jackie Chan: The Essential Companion' (ISBN 1840234911) also contributes to several other books on the genre.
Leeder has also served as a consultant for various DVD companies providing interviews, commentaries and bonus features for such companies as Hong Kong Legends, Premier Asia, Media Blasters, BCI, and Dragon Dynasty.
