Background
Janošević became an International Master in 1964 and earned the Grandmaster title the following year.
In the 1950s and 1960s he played several times in the final of the Yugoslav Championship. Chessmetrics gives his highest rating as 2589 in March 1954, which places him 58th in the world at that time.[1]
