Jenny Farrar was the Mayor of the
City of Yarra from 2006 to 2007.Jenny Farrar became one of the first members of the
Australian Greens to successfully contest an elected office inVictoria, Australia when she was elected to the Council of theCity of Yarra in 2002 and again in 2004. She also held office as Chair of the Planning Committee in 2005 and Chair of Finance and Governance in 2006. As Chair of these committees, Jenny Farrar played a major role in the Yarra's Heritage Review, the review of Council's Municipal Strategic Statement, the development of the Urban Design Framework for the Smith Street Precinct, the review of the City's finances, and implementing a community consultation process in relation to Council's budget.

In private life she is an industrial organiser with the
