"My Best Friend's Baby's Baby And My Baby's Baby" is the 119th episode of the American situation comedy "Scrubs". It originally aired as Episode 2 of Season 6 on December 7, 2006.

Plot

Carla goes into labor. When Turk forgets a bag with things for the baby, Elliot becomes the temporary husband. Then a scheme to make Turk look like the hero backfires and he becomes stuck in an ice machine. The umbilical cord becomes prolapsed and doctors must perform an emergency C-Section, and Carla is terrified. Finally, however, with some typical help from J.D., some rare help from Dr. Kelso, and some unhelpful assistance from the Janitor, Turk gets his hand unstuck and was with Carla during the operation.

Meanwhile, J.D. and Kim contemplate their future and the future of their child. Their attempts to decide whether to have an abortion or keep the child prove futile, even with Jordan sitting with the couple and providing helpful advice. However by the end of the episode, after seeing Turk with his baby, Isabella, they decide to have the child.

Dr. Cox and Jordan argue about whether or not to treat Jack like he is an adult. Cox treats him like he is and tells him the truth, with no limitations. By the end, however, he realizes that Jack is a child and treats him as such.

Cameo appearances

*The band in the beginning consisted of members of the USC Spirit of Troy marching band.
*When Elliot announces to the group about the complications after the C-Section, in the back of the second shot is Bill Lawrence, the creator and executive producer of "Scrubs".
*The two guys from Bill Lawrence's other project "Nobody's Watching" had an appearance in this episode. Both of them were dressed as orderlies behind J.D. and Kim, when J.D. is talking about having sex to gauge the relationship. It is not yet known whether this may in some way tie into the other series, but it is notable that this episode was written by the creators of "Nobody's Watching".
*Julian Acosta plays a talking Jesus figurine, who appears scolding JD for considering abortion.

Continuity

*In this episode, Dr. Cox refers to Carla as "a thirty five year old Latina woman". When Carla was tested for fertility, she told the doctor that she was thirty six. Still it is possible that Cox was merely guessing the age as Carla has been shown to lie about it on several occasions.
