Jack Orlando is now a worn down private detective who stumbles from bar to bar burying his problems at the bottom of a
whiskey bottle.He is found in an alley by
police officers next to a dead man whom the police discover to belong to theUS Army , he is arrested and subsequently released by the chief inspector due to their close relationship. He is given 48 hours to find the real killers of the man in the alley. As the story develops, it is found out that a local gangster named Don Scaletti is running a weapons smuggling operation and bribing amilitary officer to steal weapons.Jack later discovers that the very man whom released him to conduct his investigation is involved with the
