Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School is located in the downtown section of the Orange County community, along NY 218. It is one of three elementary schools in the Cornwall Central School District, serving mainly the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson itself.
The building was built in the early 1920s to serve as the community's high school, and "Cornwall-on-Hudson High School" is still visible on the front atop a former facade.
