Burcher is a small rural village situated in central New South Wales, Australia, in Lachlan Shire. Some of its main attractions include Lake Cowal, known for its diverse birdlife; and the Lake Cowal Gold Mine, an open cut mine situated south-east of Burcher. Furthermore, the Bush Chapel located just out of town offers a wonderful place to sit and think, and the old bakery serves as a museum for the towns vibrant history. Manna mountain, only a short drive from Burcher has provided a place for the local indigenous Australian's to sharpen their spears for generations; and is a wonderful place for a picnic.
