General elections were held in Malaysia between 24 August and 14 September 1974,[1] alongside state elections in all states except Sabah..[2] This result was a victory for Barisan Nasional (formerly the Alliance Party), which won 135 of the 154 seats. Voter turnout was 75.1%.
