The Jamaica North Trail is a redevelopment of convert|6.5|mi|lk=on of the abandoned
Union Pacific Railroad segment running through southwest Lincoln,Nebraska , USA.According to an October 2003 press release, the city of Lincoln purchased the convert|8.2|mi|adj=on railway segment for $605,000. The Jamaica North trail connects to the
Homestead Trail , which will ultimately extend convert|72|mi from Lincoln's Haymarket District to Marysville,Kansas .The trail's surface is composed of crushed limestone and asphalt.
