Capel St. Mary is a
village about 6mile s southwest ofIpswich . "Capel" has one pub called The White Horse, which has recently been refurbished. It also has aprimary school , which provides a good education to the local young children. Just outside the village, close to a manor house there is a small castle, which is in surprisingly good condition.In the middle of the village there is a small collection of shops, which includes a
Chinese takeaway , abakers , ahairdresser s, agreengrocers , a Co-Op and anewsagents Capel St. Mary has one main playing field with tennis courts (Membership required) football pitches, a cricket ground and children's playground with basket ball area. This is where Capel Plough F.C play.
Capel has 3 churches. It has a very old
Anglican church, aMethodist church and aBaptist church which is fairly new.The village is is bypassed by the
